Where are you off to in Mexico? I'm on those all inclusive gigs every other year these days. Cancun in March probably our next visit.
Wouldn't much worry about yer drone. They don't care what you bring into Mexico....just what you leave with.
:rofl Actually when arriving in Mexico its torturous to get out the airport due to luggage searches etc. One last check literally as you're exiting, thats what its like in Cancun anyway.
Maybe that relates to where yer coming from though, In my case, every human on the plane from Cincinnati is on an all inclusive holiday gig and a non stop flight. Also, half the times I've been I've flown on to Cozumel....an Island off Cancun....which is a small plane seats maybe 20 and a small airport. Anyhoo...never had any delays or issues apart from the mystery airport tax they nail you for....about 20 USD last time.

Exit tax that all tourists have to pay on leaving. Any holiday company should have detailed it in the small print. Cant speak for Cozumul but some of the Yanks & Canadians we've spoken to in Riviera Maya that've been to Mexico City etc say its just as bad getting out of the airport there. Took us 2 1/2 hours once to exit Cancun Airport & after a 10 hour flight that's taking the ******. I have to carry a lot of meds & I always get the 3rd degree when my bags are inevitably searched just before you exit.

Yeah...that sucks....maybe I've just been fortunate. You'd think they wouldn't much bother tourists, especially US ones as their dollars are so critical to that economy. Like you say, Its a long haul from Europe and y'all have other closer options for a beach vacation. Lots of My chums wont even go anywhere in Mexico other than Cancun / Cozumel and the Pacific coast resort whos name is escaping me....due to the horrendous crime rates outside of those areas.
Our next visit is actually (I swear I'm not making this up) a dental holiday. Mrs Kid needs a bit of work....I wont bore you with the gory details....but will cost us $2500 in the US. Only $650 in Mexico at a facility that, believe it or not, specializes in US dental tourists. Anyhoo….5 night vaca for 2, all inclusive flight included ,plus teeth...... around $2200. It's a mad world.

You've only had it a week and already tried to assassinate the President of Venezuela?

They're worried about upskirt video merchants but drones pose an equally invasive threat....
...here's some footage featuring some very angry people amongst others....I particularly like the guys who set off some firework thingys and then try to run from the strafing drone.
