Great!! Good to see Mr J has his priorities right??? I will be much more interested/impressed when I read about a recognised attacking midfielder being recruited!!

A right winger, which seems the wrong side for us. However, he did score a lot of goals in one season for Exeter when they got to the play-offs, and if that is the player we are getting we would make it work. Unfortunately, the rest of his career has been less impressive. Can he play left side? Could Lowe play left side? Would you give Lowe his head and Play 3-1 up front (Wheeler-Lowe-Curtis behind Pitman)? Questions, questions...
BTW, it's David Wheeler, not a fact mentioned elsewhere in the thread. A few non-league seasons, Exeter and QPR where he was injured after a few games.

Seems a bit of an odd signing - will we see Lowe on the left wing?

In his O/S interview Wheeler says he can play either side, or even up front as a lone striker.

I did think after I posted is he the pacey striker.Berkshire Blue wrote:In his O/S interview Wheeler says he can play either side, or even up front as a lone striker.
I hope he is better than last seasons loans - I'm not sure any of them were a success and I include Walkes in that.

good player - not afraid to get stuck in, good in the air and has an eye for goal (mostly arriving in the 6 yard area and back post) and can set up a goal or two too. Importantly I think he will be motivated to be playing at 27 and with the last year on the sidelines.

I'm far more excited about him than the rest of you by the sounds of it! He is a good signing in my opinion. He also knows where the back of the net is, including at Fratton Park. He scored for Exeter City in both their last two wins against us.
