Bulletin Board Upgrade Latest
As you will all now hopefully see, I've created a new default forum style. I can and will do a lot more in the coming days & weeks. But hopefully the main makeover is now done and I've dragged the board into the 21st century at last.
The layout should render well, regardless of which device you are using: PC/laptop, tablet, phone.
Please do provide any helpful criticism - good or bad!

Re: Bulletin Board Upgrade Latest
I have spent several minutes trying to identify objects in the moving background to the forum name and I think its some sort of brainwashing device.

I do need to find a Pompey related image to replace it. Working on it. I don't want to end up getting sued for using an image I shouldn't!
Oh and no prize.

So, the aforementioned objects scrolling across the top of the screen might have hypnotized me causing me to spill my glass of classy California red onto my favorite pants. (That's trousers to you )
Other than that, my tiny teeny complaint thus far is that the personal picture thingys...avatars? ...are a bit fudgy.
I put a lot of work into my Batman image back in 2009 you know.
Plus your banana girl might be now eating a flattened hot dog. It's just not as porno as it once was.
Keep up the good work.

Is your avatar better now? I do have options: none, rounded, circle or polariod. Currently set to Polaroid. Does Batman approve?
Sorry about your pantaloons.

I'll take it.
No worries on the pants, Mrs Kid has buckets of stain remover...apparently lots of my clothes have wine stains.

Re: Bulletin Board Upgrade Latest
Happy to support the upgrade but the new colours are very poor.
I’m getting white text on grey background which is very difficult to read. I am also seeing pale red on the same grey background - again difficult to read.
Any chance of some clearer, bolder design colours?
Thanks

Hi. Thanks for the feedback.
Could you tell me where you are finding the colours difficult to read? I'm more than happy to tweak the colour scheme. The background can easily be changed if that's the problem area.

Re: Bulletin Board Upgrade Latest
There are a number of other styles that can be installed. There is a demo of all of the phpBB officially supported styles: here: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/styl ... /demo/3.2#
I probably don;t want to install too many, but if you have one that you'd like, let me know and I'll install it.
