I remember it well. Watched it live. Thought our team in 1970 was better than in 1966.

Very sad news. I'm old enough to remember that save. Wonderful keeper & lovely bloke as well apparently. RIP.

I was fortunate enough to watch the game late on the telly as a wee 6 yr old and it was followed by the premiere on BBC of The Green Beret which I was allowed to watch as well. It was my father and brother (Pompeyfan200) who were also at home as the women had gone off for the weekend....

That said, for some reason, I thought Gordon Banks died about 8 years ago. RIP to one of our finest keepers.
