Been bought by the council... Wonder if this means there is scope for some redevelopment up there and opens the opportunity for King George Playing fields again?
Or if it's just being bought as a property deal (why do local authorities insist on doing these?)

From what is being reported it is a property deal, apparently making about 2M GBP per annum, but more importantly gives them the scope to expand on the remaining land.
I wasn't aware that KGV was included ? I thought that had some church governance on it or some restriction that it has to be made available for public use for sporting activities ? Would be ideal having the ground there, good road and public transport links.
