These were the real stars. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get there. Just suffered in front of the TV. But for this lot to turn out on a night like that is why we deserve success.
Attendance: 14,735 (366 away fans)

Neither Newport nor Salford average attendances over 4,000. Hope the EFL take this into account when allocating tickets for each team in the final.

We made tough going of that at times but why mark it easy?
Am I the only one that finds it odd that Marquis and Curtis seem to get on really well? Always assumed they would clash.

We were very lucky to get away with that. I actually felt a teeny weeny bit sorry for Exeter at the final whistle though very happy to be going back to Wembley on April 5th. John Marquis's celebration for his goal is right up there!

Re: EFL Trophy semi final.
After a lifetime of watching football I long ago realised the best team often loses and it's the team that gets the lucky break that wins. But I thought last night on the overall balance of play Pompey deserved the win. There was a huge element of luck in both Exeter goals and Pompey's first. But the two deciding goals were superbly executed.

They think it is just a 'dead leg' and that he will be fit for Saturday. Fingers crossed he will, as we need him.

What has become obvious in recent weeks is the fantastic spirit and never say die attitude of the team as a whole. Not to mention the absolute belief there is amongst the group, borne of the great run we've been on. Heads never go down. It must augur well for the run-in.

There was last year. Even though I have been going to Fratton Park for more years than I care to remember, Wembley required ticket applicants to be registered with the club for two years, which, as I had to reset my account, did not include me.
Thanks to you, BlueinPLtwenty, I was able to attend the final.
I would love to just order a final ticket, if we win tonight, but am unconvinced that I will be able to.

Do not worry Mate I have a "cunning plan". You will get your ticket!

Re: EFL Trophy semi final.
I took my 12 year old Grandson to the game. We went with my Brother who lives in Hampshire and stayed overnight at his home. We have not long arrived back in West Devon both voices starting to recover. My Grandson has jettisoned any allegiance he had to Plymouth Argyle after his first game at Fratton Park in august. Last night he was jumping up and down singing all the songs especially the Doris Day highjacked song. He went to Wembley last year and is relishing another visit as is his Grandad!

Thanks. Will try the official route first and post on here if not, unless you have a plan that needs to be done before tickets go on sale to non season ticket holdersBlueinPLtwenty wrote: ↑Wed Feb 19, 2020 7:54 pmDo not worry Mate I have a "cunning plan".
