I love watching horse racing when I know something about the runners. I never bet on horse racing. I remember listening to the radio just about the time the Derby was about to start. I was travelling home in my car. There was a red hot favourite. I decided to pop into Shoreham to put a bet on it. Couldn’t park anywhere and gave it a miss. It came nowhere. Never backed a horse since.
