Marcus Maddison
Just released by Peterborough. Fantastic 26-year-old midfielder with 22 assists last season. Exactly the kind of creative force in the middle that we've been missing. As a free agent, surely worth a punt.

Re: Marcus Maddison
Agreed, a very good player at this level. However, he is apparently a very disruptive influence in the dressing room...Big Time Charlie if the rumours are true. Probably the reason why he was released and not who you want if trying to gain promotion.

Re: Marcus Maddison
Doesn't sound like a Jackett type of player.
Maddison wouldn't be cheap, and I wonder if that is part of the reason he was let go. Peterborough must be running at a massive deficit, and they might have decided they can't keep doing that, especially if L1 and L2 salary caps really are in the offing.

Yes please, excellent player. Sometimes the right sort of manager can get the best out of players like this, on & off the pitch. Who knows, Kenny could be that Manager.

Trouble is, while we are involved in the play-offs you can bet your life Sunderland, Peterborough, Ipswich et al are putting all their efforts into securing the best players for 2020-21

Sunderland fan isn't he? Also suspect he will go up the pyramid.
Good player but all round loose cannon.

Re: Marcus Maddison
While I appreciate the talent the lad has I'll always put team cohesion and culture ahead of relying on any one single player. Especially one that has a record of being disruptive in the changing rooms. That being said sometimes a bit of cockiness isn't necessarily a bad thing if used in the right way.
Whether Jackett is the sort of manager to get the best out of him and keep him in a good place I've no idea.
