Re: Your first car?
A 91 year old friend of mine had a 1950s Morris Minor for over 40 years. It had done 364,000 on the clock when he sold it!
Avatar: Harry 'Brusher' Mills (19 March 1840 – 1 July 1905) was a hermit, resident in the New Forest in Hampshire, England, who made his living as a snake-catcher. He became a local celebrity and an attraction for visitors to the New Forest. No relation as far as I know

Yes, that's what it was, a 'classic car', not an old banger like me.Mr D Nuts wrote:So, am I the youngest on this thread or are were you lot into your classic cars ?

Re: Your first car?
VW Polo P reg back in 2009 just after I passed my driving test. Was a rusted piece of poop that cost me about £200 quid and was only expected to get a few months out of it while I sourced something newer but ended up lasting almost 4 years! Engine always cut out when idling at junctions and the heaters didn't work in the winter but still was a great little car and still the best car I've ever driven in the snow

Mint green Austin Metro D44 MBW . Actually the ownership was in my other half's name but that was the car we owned when I passed my test and so was the first car I drove on my own after passing the test. We drove it jointly until we had to get rid when my son came along and we needed something bigger to get all the baby paraphanelia in.
Everyone says David Beckham is not very intelligent. No-one says that Professor Stephen Hawking is a rubbish footballer!
