Please can someone explain why when Pompey are doing well there are fewer comments from Forum members than when things are going badly when everyone piles in with an opinion?

its easier for humans to critique than to compliment.

Not many people phone customer services to congratulate the company on a service well done, but by comparison when it goes wrong....

It's easy to see how things are going right. Think of any great team and you can pretty well sum them up if a couple of sentences. It's much harder to pinpoint how things are going wrong, there is a wide range of possibilities (players, formations, tactics, etc.) and everyone has an opinion which makes for interesting debate.

No one has made a politics topic for a while. They tend to garner quite a bit of interest.

I always feel that I don't want to come on singing their praises in case I jinx it and the run of good results goes belly up .

However I will just allow myself a brief "These next three games are critical. Get 7 points out of 9 and we are well on the way"

There I've said it , now back in my box.
Everyone says David Beckham is not very intelligent. No-one says that Professor Stephen Hawking is a rubbish footballer!
