Re: Wigan - Is anyone watching?
We have generally been just second best to Wigan on a bumpy pitch, although we had probably the better of the chances.
The second half will be interesting, as in the previous games under the Cowleys we have bossed the first half and then hung on towards the end of the game. This time we need something a bit different - maybe a couple of substitutions - Jacobs has looked a bit leggy, and Close hasn't been at his best.

Terrible hard pitch leaving it difficult for players to control the ball , couple that with a physical Wigan side and its been difficult for Pompey to get the ball down and try to play that passing game. Wigan look a poor side and I would expect us to impose ourselves in second half if we can get more cohesion.

Full time and we win 0 - 1 with a terrific strike from Andy Cannon. We ground out the win, as you sometimes have to do. Excellent.

8 minutes of injury time. Someone hurt? Timewasting? Or was the referee just enjoying himself too much?

Raggett had a bad head injury and had to go off after lengthy treatment

VG win. Had to tough it out but defended brilliantly. Great goal from Cannon-howitzer like in fact.

It looked like a bad nose or cheekbone injury. Both he and the Wigan player involved had to be substituted (wisely). Let's hope he isn't out for too long.
Nicolaisen came on, and then Bolton came on and we went to 5 at the back for the closing minutes.

It looks like Raggett has a fractured cheekbone. If so that could be him out for the rest of the season

Can’t he wear one of those masks that the Chelsea guy used to?
Or even better...
