Kyle Wootton
Apparently has chosen Stockport County over us???? WTF??
2 things..a) how can Stockport County out muscle Pompey both in choice and monetary aspects b) what is going on in the head of Kyle Wootton that he would prefer them to us??
Makes me think we weren't really interested anyway or else somebody at Pompey didn't do a very good selling job on him

Re: Kyle Wootton
Maybe he didn't want the move south. Two short loan spells aside, all his appearances have been in the northern half of the country.

Usual stuff for this time of year. Slow news day so got to make the most out of any slither of news. Like all those football directors who apparently turned us down but turned out we never even approached them.Portchesterblue2 wrote: ↑Wed Jun 08, 2022 11:03 am or maybe we didnt offer a contract??

Re: Kyle Wootton
We have defiantly been to watch him and Cowley said he was a name on the list but I bet there is a very long list.
But I'm not bothered we have missed out, if he was that good he'd be going elsewhere unless loads of clubs got it wrong.

Re: Kyle Wootton
Totally agree. Based on watching him in their play-off game (admittedly only one match) I didn't see much to suggest that he was better than what we already had. Not really young enough at 25 to have massive development potential and a League One goalscoring record of 1 goal every 6 games (even at National League level in the last two years it was between 1 in 2 and 1 in 3).

Re: Kyle Wootton
Rather we saved our money to bring Hirst back proven goal scorer in our division and offers even more potential this season just hope we can do it!
