That will surely give our players and management team a huge shot of confidence as Ipswich were playing their first team.
Also, if we can avoid Plymouth in the next round we must have a great chance of going all the way?

I watched on ifollow - we did to Ipswich what other teams have done to us in the past. We hung in there while they tried to batter us, and in the end were worthy winners, including switching to a back three when Ipswich brought on their reinforcements. All credit to the team and the Cowleys.

Completely forgot we were playing. Good result. Hopefully we can build off that and a clean sheet as well against a team who have scored 12 in their last 6 games. 👍

Only the top two have lost same number of games as us - 2 - all those draws, shame some couldn't be converted to wins...

How much does this win add to our player fund?

Not sure that was an Ipswich first team, official site says both teams made 7 changes from previous match.
But, yes, sounds like a very good result, and boost to morale at FP

Cheers, FF

I believe we got £20,000 for the win last night.

Scarlett took his goal well and nearly scored from the halfway line. I liked the wingback option too. Far more solid at the back. Only saw 2nd half mind.

correct £20k. It doubles to £40k if Pompey can win the next game in the Qtr finals. There is a share of the gate receipts too .....but crowds are not huge for this competition but it all helps....

But their 'second first team' is significantly better than ours! It was a brilliant result.
