Well done to all who competed - some 69 in total, with a couple dropping out, and a couple being taken out, about the same numbers as last year. Hmm, might be the only interest in the Premiership next season? (Other than the LaLa League of course).

The Premiership Division couldn't have been closer, and the Champion - Fin T - wins only by the games method of "goal difference". In the event two teams are tied on points, it separates them by whoever had made the fewest transfers over the course of the season.

Of course the transfers are one of the ways to maximise your score (extra points in some gameweeks where players play two games etc...) - so it seems fair.

Fin T - (who is a well known member of the board) - wins the Fantasy League for the THIRD time in it's 4 season history. He won in Season 1 (2006/7), Season 3 (2008/9) as well as this. His score of 2374 points breaks the record set in Season 2 (2007/8) by me.

Unlucky Peter Y. His record since the start of the League - 6th, 6th, 10th, and now runners-up - and only by "transfer difference". Great scores too by the teams in 3rd, 4th & 5th - only one good gameweek away from the top. I think the difference was being shrewd with selection in the busy gameweeks (with the Europa League and so on, and some teams often playing twice the week after), and some injuries to major players (van Persie early on, later Fabregas, Rooney etc...) There were some strange scores some weeks too (thanks Wigan 8) )

The bottom half of the Premiership, and those 'in the red' are relegated to the Championship League (Division). I know there were 2 or 3 who gave up/lost interest, but otherwise, noticed a bit of a scrap to get out of going down.

jon c triumps & wins the Championship. Well done! (Phew, he got a lower score than the Premiership winner, so no arguments there either).

Well done to Rubi too, BTW. Just missed out last season, he gets promotion this time in the league named in his honour! :D

The top 12 all go into the Premiership next season. Top 10 of course, plus one (I'm only in there for admin) - and there was one 'beneficiary' of the "85 rule" - 'anyone scoring more points that the team that finishes 10th bottom in the Premiership, is also promoted'. Well done to Greg E.

Bottom half of the Championship. Well, might as well get used to looking at this section on the back page of the Sports Mail anyways...

There was some talk of splitting the League even further a little while ago. Will leave it to nearer the time, and p'raps have a vote. Three divisions? Could be done, would take a bit of sorting at the start, but after that it runs itself.. Would it make it more interesting if there was more to fight for, right to the end? Maybe!

Oh - and 870th best league out of 193,262??

Bl**dy good going, well into the top 1%, certainly can talk a good game then

Yep, you're safe Vince - one place above the waterline!

Anyone who kept changing their team after september should be deduced points for cheating.

:D

Reminds me... All players are obliged to lodge the relevant paperwork with me before the start of next season, along with the appropriate bond sum (especially those just promoted). Will leave the going through pockets for loose change to Pomp, but PayPal accepted - elsewise you will start on minus 9 points.
