Re: World Record Attempt Needs You. (Charity Too)
Have a read folks;
Football fans are being called for in Portsmouth in a bid to raise money for charity and set a new world record in the process.
The Portsmouth News reports that Raymond Olgilvie and Luc Semmens are looking to increase the funds of the Football for Cancer group by playing the world's longest ongoing five-a-side game.
Some 16 players are permitted to take part, with the aim being to play non-stop for over 24 hours and 30 minutes.
Those interested in playing will need to collect football sponsorship money, alongside having an official sponsor emblazoned on their kit.
Mr Olgilvie told the local newspaper: "Our aim is to make a difference to someone's life, someone that has shown tremendous courage in their fight against cancer."
It is hoped that through the money raised a child suffering with cancer will be able to enjoy a holiday at Disney World in Florida with their family.
Meanwhile, young cancer sufferer Lewis Mighty has been given the opportunity to carry the match ball out onto the pitch next month in a Championship game between Derby County and Sheffield United.
His parents will also be at the game to try to collect money to help send Lewis to New York, with £300,000 needed for cutting edge immunotherapy treatment, the Derby Telegraph reports.

Guys, i'd love to get involved.
But unless i'm missing something, there appears to be no method of getting in touch?
How do I go about participating?
