New message board names, anyone?

Post by Earl Grey »

If you cast your mind back a lot of us changed our board handle to reflect the various owner changes we suffered.
I was Earl Greyski for a bit when Sacha first came along.
I can't recall but I think I did something similarly relevant when SAF was first mooted as the owner.

So is anyone adapting or even completely changing their board name and avatar to celebrate this latest watershed in the affairs of our club?

I'm definitely considering a complete change of handle but can't decide on what.
Perhaps a simple '1898' or perhaps 'Fan Friday' as a nod to the day of the week it was confirmed we'd signed the papers to own the club.
Not sure about what avatar to use, though.

Anyone got any thoughts about changing?
I think Lost in Kate Tinsel should definitely change as promised when we came under new ownership.

Problem is if I change my name, a Russian billionnaire will show up and buy us out.

Tin hat on Earl, you'll have the usual suspects grumbling that they don't know who anybody is anymore....

But, for what it's worth, I like the idea, used to love some of the changes that have gone on over the years - "Alan Curbishley's Mum" on 606, when we were all slagging him for poaching our transfers targets and then all the various Russian and Arab names - "Sheikh Rattle n Roll" and so forth.

How about "Power to the People"? Reflects the changes and your own anarchistic tendencies.....Must be a picture of old Wolfie somewhere for your avatar.

Perhaps I should recognise my shared ownership by a change of name. I'm off to have a think. I may be some time.

Well, if you want to stick to actual abum titles, the most appropriate would have to be Lodger, though if that doesn't appeal then I guess you could be a Pompey Pin Up

A Lad Insane. Far more appropriate for some scummer from West Sussex who spends more time than she should on here and has paid her hard earned dosh to help save her evil rival club - and if her son ever found out.....eeeeek! That's what you call mad.

Whaddya fink? Aladdin Sane.

Pompey Pin Up could work for those that need to go to Specsavers.
