Penny for the Guy

Post by The Cincinnati Kid »

On new keeper (Trevor Carson): "As a goalkeeper you have to stay concentrated for that amount of time...he's put in a steady performance and right at the death he's made two great saves.

"That's a performance that a Portsmouth side should be doing week in week out; hard graft, doing the ugly side of football well and I'm glad it's come to the table."

Quote from Whitters there which shows he knows the problems and credit to him for getting a keeper in btw...after thouroughly testing the other 2 and giving them enough opprtunity to shine. They failed to take their shot and Guy made a move.

Credit where it's due and all that
Div III. Call it what it is.

It was a positive step - one Swallow doesn't make a summer and all that - but it was better -
no awards for being a decent chap, sometimes a manager needs to make tough decisions and good for GW.
Gaydamack's wonderful millions - well it did seem too good to be true !
