After my critique of last week's performance, based upon radio commentary and threads on here, I will doff my cap to Guy on what he achieved since the York game.

Today sounded like lively, attacking and entertaining football. A few people brought in and changes made to the style of play seem to have done wonders for the 'look of the team' (according to the commentary as I couldn't witness it personally).

Glad to see that Guy has listened to or observed that changes needed to occur. Hopefully it will turn the tide.

As far as Pompey are concerned I always wear blue tinted glasses. I don't follow Pompey because it improves my debating, posting or reasoning skills (although it does actually do all three) I follow Pompey because we're goin to win the league.
We're goin to win the league
We're goin to win the league
An now you're gonna believe us ...
We're goin to win the league.

I concur with those sentiments - the team screamed out for a reliable GK and we seem to have got one. And some other useful additions to the squad have arrived. Certainly, from the commentary on the radio, the stats of the game, we had a good day at the office - and we kept a clean sheet. Before making any more judgements, I'd like to hear a match summary from someone who was there and to verify that our shape looked better and their view of the game. The old adage 'one swallow does not a Summer make' springs to mind!

Or indeed the even older (and more correct proverb??)

Gathered out of the Chiliades of Erasmus, 1539:

It is not one swalowe that bryngeth in somer. It is not one good qualitie that maketh a man good.....

which is rather better/apposite.
