Ryan Bird - Quits
http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/news/strike ... -1-6271856
Ryan Bird has left Pompey by mutual consent in an attempt to secure regular football.
The 26-year-old was contracted to the Blues until the end of the season.
Yet with Bird eager for first-team opportunities elsewhere, that deal has now been ripped up.
The former Burnham player made 25 appearances and scored three goals following his Fratton Park arrival in the summer of 2013.
But he has fallen out of favour at Pompey of late, failing to make Andy Awford’s last four matchday squads.

Probably to make way for Falcao so we don't fall foul of the financial fair play rules!!!
We are all visitors to this time, this place. We are just passing through. Our purpose here is to observe, to learn, to grow, to love... and then we return home. – Aboriginal proverb.

He has alternatives but terminating the contact before the window shuts gives him more time to decide as a free agent. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:surely half the story?

Otherwise why would you give up a years payroll with the risk of no offer?

The only point of terminating the contract at Fratton was to take out the 11pm deadline. As it is, he and Cambridge managed to conclude the deal quickly. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:Yeah...but the point being he must surely have an offer on ye olde table?Lost in Transportation wrote:He has alternatives but terminating the contact before the window shuts gives him more time to decide as a free agent. The Cincinnati Kid wrote:surely half the story?
