Hmm- he can take that. It's not like he was tirelessly giving of himself working for St John's Ambulance! Sunday was panto stuff. Lambert was the goodie and Lallana and Lovren were the baddies. Some sections of the crowd were acting like they were the dumped girlfriend. Pathetic! Who expects loyalty in football these days? Only the stupidest of supporters and they'll always be disappointed.Thats Rich wrote:Unlike Lallana's upteen years service.Ziggy Sawdust wrote:Glad my effort didn't go unnoticed!Thats Rich wrote:Nice one ZigZiggy Sawdust wrote:Absolute insist that you use Jasper's results on this thread - in particular these ones ^. Lovren - baddie yes.
Lallana should imho have been greated indifferently rather than given the same treatment as Lovren. There is no loyalty in football but he could have been playing in the prem when you got promotion to the C'ship. I stopped going to footy in 1993 - that decision was no coincidence - that was the first year footy started to die.
Barca are a class side but they really should practice pens.
Why always me!

Re: SSMC Round 8 Match-ups & Fixtures - Saturday 21st Februa
Massive apologies for the delay in posting the results for Round 8, but here they are (better late than never!).
FEE top scored with 13 in an otherwise low scoring round as the Blues recorded a 4 match to 3 win to extend their overall lead to an almost unassailable 15 points. The reds would need at least 6 wins and 1 draw from the final Round (when all 16 players participate), and to overturn a 12 goal inferior goal difference in the process. Suffice to say the fat lady is exercising her vocal chords as I post, though the Reds will I'm sure do their best to ensure she isn't singing the Chimes on Saturday evening.
The individual table is somewhat closer with Bluesbro' leading by 2 points from St Jim, who in turn leads USPF and Lindford by 1 point. With USPF facing St Jim in the final round, any of these four can (in theory) still take top spot, though Lindford's GD is by far the worst of the top four.
At the other end of the table, LiT needs a last round win and for at least one of Ned, Rob or Ziggy to lose in order to avoid the wooden spoon.
I'll do my best to post the results a little more promptly this weekend. In the meantime, thanks to you all for participating and keeping Dougie's spirit alive. Cheers!
