BTG - Car valeting

Post by This Time Next Year »

My car (smallish hatchback) needs a bit of a spring clean inside and out. Where's the best place locally to get it done.

Don't want anywhere super posh, not keen on spending more than £20 if I don't have to or I may as well do it myself.

I’m not sure if they still operate, but there was a small outfit round the back of the Pompey Centre by B&Q. I’ve used them 2-3 times in the past, and they’ve done a solid job. That was a couple of years ago though.

I use the place next to Mother Kelly's in Southampton Road, they do a mini valet for around £12 for a normal car, top job too.

wow...y'alls pimp my ride services are waaaay cheaper than ours.
Reckon I'd splash at least $75 for an inside and out service on a midsize car.
Got a mobile guy around here that bills 80 and he'll come to your work or home.
Doubt I'd get them to spit on the headlights for 20

The benefits of cheap Eastern European labour....

The guys I use on my daily driver are fantastic. About a dozen guys, each with a different task. Its like a well-drilled machine/production line, and they are never short of customers. Rarely takes more than 10 minutes, and costs £10 for wash/wax and a quick internal valet. But always tip them extra, because they do a top job.

I have used the place in the car park at Cascades - ideal if you happen to be doing some shopping in Commercial Road anyway, but a bit **** if you aren't. Decent job though.
I before E except when you run a feisty heist on a weird beige foreign neighbour
