Re: Danny Hollands
Yes, he had starting playing well and really seemed to be fitting Cookie's system, but hey ho, a chance for someone else to prove their worth.
Wonder if this will change PC's view on letting Big Nige leave?

Re: Danny Hollands
I doubt that as I think he doesn't see Nige developing the mental picture of the game to complement his talents. He is 26 now so not a youngster.Guernsey Blue wrote:Wonder if this will change PC's view on letting Big Nige leave?

Re: Danny Hollands
Just the read the piece on the Snooze website regarding Big Nige, and I found the last couple of paragraphs about Matt Tubbs interesting

The way I read it is as huge hints that Tubbs is leaving too.

Re: Danny Hollands
With all the delay on lavery being confirmed I'm starting to wonder if we are trying to move on tubbs. Allowing us to sign lavery on a permanent basis. Sure I read he is out of Contract in the summer at Sheffield.
If this is the case I would be happy with it.

Life is all about ass. You're either covering it, laughing it off, kicking it, kissing it, busting it or trying to get a piece of it.

Re: Danny Hollands
It's a shame for Hollands but I am keen to see young Ben close play ahead of him. Hopefully this is his chance.

Re: Danny Hollands
Mmm. Danny, since his improvement lately, has been one of the few players capable of putting in the long, 'Hollywood' pass which is good to have in your armoury. Also a long-throw specialist if needed.
Still, Ben Close is a great substitute to have and Atangana is always going to put in a shift. Don't forget Barton, too.

Re: Danny Hollands
Whatever happened to Hollands' long throw? It was a big part of Awford's turnaround of the Pompey team in 2014, then was overused in the early part of 2014-15 and has since disappeared. I don't think I have seen it once under Cook. It does offer some variety, especially as we are not very good at ordinary throw-ins.Earl Grey wrote:Also a long-throw specialist if needed.

Re: Danny Hollands
I was wondering exactly the same recently. I'd say the odd one of his long throw ins would be just as dangerous as the majority of Ben Davies' corners!Pompey Penguin wrote:Whatever happened to Hollands' long throw?
