I see we have 852 members who have never posted. Were many of these generated by robots? And what would be the point? Just curious.

Yes....Interesting. Also interesting to look at some of the posts and the numbers associated with them. For Instance BlueinPL20 post "At the Gas" has 2 contributors but some 370 views. Given that each contributor may have viewed perhaps 3 times and each viewer may have viewed twice you've got some 150-200 members looking. No idea if your 870 number is all members that have ever joined or if those that have joined and left are counted.
As for bots I think I see 2 or 3 logged in at various times.

Personally, I think we only have maybe 2 members. Myself and someone with multiple personality disorder.

Where is Widders these days? Still with his restaurant in Petersfield? Still showing Ziggy the Blue side of life?

They would all have been genuine registrations. All people that join have to be approved - to try our best to weed out robots and spammers.

I guess a lot joined up back in the halcyon days and have since drifted away. I do know a lot of people just come in to read the posts and don't actually post anything themselves. I don't have a problem with that. It would be good if more people contributed, but maybe it's quality over quantity :)

He's alive and well. Was in the Railway Club on Saturday before cheering on the Blues from the Fratton End. He sold Monoloco a few years ago and now has a cleaning business. I'm sure he won't mind me telling you all that he's also now a Granddad!

That's handy. Mrs J has mentioned on more than one occasion carpets needing to be cleaned. Can you post or PM me contact details? If Widders cleans carpets like he cooked lunch we'll be well pleased.
