Mr Eisner...you might be happy with that debacle last night and as it's your money you are at liberty to give that assessment. However, don't expect me to contribute my hard earned cash to condone the inexplicable massinations of an inept manager. And I won't until a change (for the better) of the 'manager' is brought about.

Mourinho isn't doing anything at the moment. Maybe he might persuade Ronaldo to come too

As successful businessmen, Eisners must be:
a) more ruthless than they appear
b) acutely aware of customer satisfaction
c) not afraid to make bold decisions

So, I suspect they are far more bothered by on the pitch matters than we think they are, it is just that they are polite and won't have those discussions in public. I'd imagine that they are drawing up managerial alternatives now in the event of results not improving over the next month.

It always seems to be the way that people are in favour of continuity and sticking with a manager through a sticky period until the situation arises at their own club. Maybe it would be better to see how things are going after ten or more league games.

As far as the Southampton match goes, I will be there and absolutely delighted if we win, but we will start as underdogs so cannot be too surprised if we lose to a premier league team with a wages budget of at least 20 or 30 times our own. What I do want to see is a really good performance from us, win or lose. Having said all that, derby games often don't follow logic!

I would say that your assessment is absolutely bang on on the mark.

+1

Having gotten used to the US 'speak' of senior management and owners (all be it not in the sports environment), there is likely more to be read in the tweet than has been written. The Eisners are typically upbeat and positive in their communications relating to Pompey, but the tone of this showed frustration at best.

At the very least, a report on expectations and when performances will turn round...may be asking what he feels he (KJ) can do better at and then hold him accountable...but all behind closed doors. Maybe that's why KJ is never smiling, he is now under pressure to perform.

The Eisners want Pompey to be a global club to bring in the required revenue. So you either need to be in the PL or Championship with a history of success (not us) or a club who are good to watch, going places and with obvious ambition. I wish KJ could get it right but it seems that when the pressure is on he retreats into his shell and becomes too cautious.

Who knows what's being said between the owners and Catlin etc but I think the next 1-2 months will decide KJ's future.

Gutted - Appleton has just been announced as the new Lincoln manager.

Let's see what the next tweet says...…. another poor performance with a late penalty giving Wycombe a rare win
