Recent Form. Opinions?
Since losing to Southampton on the 24th September we've played 14 games, won 10 and only lost 1.
There's been a lot of doom and gloom on here due to the ****** poor start but do even the most pessimistic of us feel like we have finally turned the corner?

I think we have to temper it a bit because some of the opposition hasn't been great. (Few draws in amongst that run btw). But if we can prevail against a very decent Peterborough I would say most definitely a corner has been turned.

Next three home games are against the current top three in the division. Let's see where we are after those games before getting too excited.

Our December results basically define our season. We now have all our injured players back bar Whatmough and Morris, and Jack's not far off, so there are no excuses with the squad we have. I still don't think Jackett knows who his best starting eleven are though. No Shot Sherlock wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 12:48 pm Next three home games are against the current top three in the division. In many ways, I'd much rather be in our present position with expectations low but clear signs of improvement and plenty of time to make an impression on the promotion places than sitting on top of the division for four months only to blow it.
As we know from 2016-17, it's all about timing.

Win the next three league games and we are up and running.

15 games without a loss now and a draw against one of the top teams in the league. Yes a win would have been nice but can't argue the pompey train continues

I honestly don't think there is a definitive "Best starting XI" with our current squad, there is strength in depth. The only 2 really, that are nailed on starters, for me, are Craig Mac and Tom Naylor. And this is not a bad thing, IMHO.

Let's campaign to have the Selsey clan as the new management team. His family has a stellar background of La La League predictions over 15 years which KJ certainly doesn't...and his family's success in that competition speaks for itself. Has KJ won copious European honours? I think not.Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 10:15 amOf course I do, but it's all about opinions - innit?!Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 10:04 amDo you then?Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 3:53 pm I still don't think Jackett knows who his best starting eleven are though.

Re: Recent Form. Opinions?
So, how do you choose between Harness & Williams on RW? That's the main area of contention for me. What about RB? Is it the left-footed Haunstrup, the specialist Bolton or the combative McRorie? I don't see much to choose between any of those 3 either.Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 10:15 amOf course I do, but it's all about opinions - innit?!Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 10:04 amDo you then?Selsey Bill wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 3:53 pm I still don't think Jackett knows who his best starting eleven are though.

Re: Recent Form. Opinions?
Personally, I'd play Harness ahead of Williams as he has a much more of an end product and he will score more goals for you. Of the other three I'd play McCrorie, but then you probably already know this! However, when fit I'd be playing Haunstrup at LB ahead of Brown. Only my opinion. But I'd also be playing McCrorie or Cannon ahead of Ben Close in MFLocky_McLockface wrote: ↑Tue Dec 10, 2019 12:26 pmSo, how do you choose between Harness & Williams on RW?
