Bury fan in peace
Following the expulsion of Bury Football Club from the EFL a number of fans have been working together to create a club for us to support moving forward. The aim is for the club to be a 100% fan owned on a one member one vote basis and we are being supported by the FSA to achieve this.
We have submitted an application to Manchester FA and are awaiting for confirmation we have been accepted into what is almost certainly to be step 6 (tier 10) of the National League System. On top of this we are going to have to deal with the ignominy of ground sharing with a local non league team, as currently as getting Gigg Lane back quickly, is not achievable but it remains our longer term goal.
We are currently starting our fundraising efforts and have an Evening with Derek Spence (Ex Irish International) on the 6th of February. Mark Catlin your CEO has close links to Bury and had kindly donated a signed Portsmouth Home shirt (this seasons).
We were initially going to auction the shirt on eBay but we have decided to reach out to Pompy fans in a more personal manner following the generous support we received from you over the summer.
If any of you would like to help us get back on our feet and also have the chance of winning a signed shirt please email social@buryphoenix.co.uk. A ten pound donation will help us on our journey and guarantees you entry in to the shirt draw. We will email you back the bank details and a reference to put with the donation.
Thank you for reading

Welcome BuryPhoenix.
Genuinely best of luck with all your efforts. You've certainly reached out to the right club, and no doubt will get plenty of support for this!
Would be nice to see a friendly arranged between the clubs as a fundraiser for you guys in the summer. (Bit beyond my powers as an armchair casual fan to arrange that though!)

Massive thank you to everyone who has contributed. The draw will take place on Thursday evening, if anyone else would like to contribute your assistance would be most welcome.
