How do you look after your Pompey Tops when it comes to washing?
Sorry for the strange post but I feel like me or, to be more specific, Mrs Brown is doing something wrong when it comes to washing my replica top.
It’s weird I’ve still got my Ty top from 02/03 and it’s going strong and looks almost new but I’ve had a couple of of newer kits from the last two seasons and they are falling apart already. Hell I’ve got some old The Snooze and Bishops Printers tops that are in better nick than some of the newer kit.
Might just be me but is there some secret way to washing replica tops to Lee them lasting longer I’m not aware of or are is the newer kit made to a slightly lower standard to the kit from the olden days?

Do get the same feel that the "modern" tops are not as good quality, don't seem so robust. Up the profit and built in obsolescence......well in this case built in getting a bit cr@p faster lol.

I actually dug out my old Ty top late last night and realised the reason it has lasted is the club logo etc are all embroidered on rather than heat transferred. I imagine that's why. I imagine that top will outlast me let alone the rest of the kit in my drawers

The 'kit in my drawers' is well past its useful best.

They don't make 'em like they used to.
Remember, excuses are like A-holes, everyone has got one.
