I get the impression that Mr Trumps, a devout Christian, would hate a such a brown skinned Middle eastern socialist if he was around today. Perhaps the only thing they would have in common would be their association with prostitutes... allegedly.
It is yet to be proven whether Donald Trump has accepted Christ, that hasn't been made public. He has spent a lot of time with Franklin Graham. He does tout Religious Freedoms but that is one of the founding principles of this country.

As for your accusations of him having racist beliefs, where is the proof? Trump has shown he has been concerned with improving the lives of American people of color - lowest unemployment rate for both Black and Latino prior to the pandemic....the building of 'Opportunity Zones' in larger inner city areas led by Ben Carson (provided opportunities for the Black community to start and own businesses in impoverished areas... many that were destroyed and looted during the riots by the way.

Have you spent time listening to what Trump has said in his speeches or just taken the snippets that the media in general have used? The media doesn't tell the truth, or hadn't you noticed.

For the record.....have you listened to Biden's recent racially driven comments and he has a record of those too. It is the Democratic party that has used racism as a tool.... "If you don't vote for me, you ain't Black" (Joe Biden to a Black TV interviewer a few weeks ago) is just one. History will show that Democrats were the Southern slave owners and Republicans fought to free them.... history that the Democrats are trying to change.

Christ didn't just hand around with prostitutes, he was in the company of tax collectors and other people whose lives were not on the right track. But in his own words.... It is not the healthy who need a doctor but the sick - Mark 2:17, Luke 5:31 and Mathew 9:12

uspompeyfan wrote: Fri Aug 07, 2020 12:36 am I also notice no one has commented on the BLM manifesto as nothing more than a Marxist organization (oh, the three original people who started it are self-proclaimed marxists too)
I made a comment regarding BLM earlier that may be relevant to this.
Sam_Brown wrote: Thu Aug 06, 2020 2:54 pm I don't believe most people are aware there is a BLM organisation. At least not in the UK anyway. This may be an issue of semantics \ ciphers which always end up getting messy as different people may interpret the same phrase in different ways. I can only speak for myself but when I talk about BLM I am not referring to any one organisation or person and simply using it as a catch all to refer to the recent emphasis on dealing with racism and ensuring black people are treated equally as a whole.

This is something I'd like to think, regardless of our individual political ideologies, we can at least agree on.
If we spent more time talking about what we agree on and less time finding faults the world would be a better place. :P
BBC World News touted the BLM movement as it brought images of the kneeling around Europe. Commentators made it clear that the kneeling was related to support of BLM at every televised sporting event it occurred on...so forgive me if I took the fact of known basic knowledge of the BLM movement as a general acceptance of having watched sport or the news

It is clear we can agree that all forms of racism are bad..... but can you accept that the vast majority also agree the same thing? If so, then systemic racism isn't the major problem that it is deemed to be. Pockets of idiots will be called out, but that doesn't make the country bad.

On a side note I never got the obsession in the US with labelling things as "communist" or "marxist" as if that was a reason itself for why something is bad. I always felt like it was a cheap get out and a way to dismiss something without really having to go into details. Please don't take this the wrong way and it's meant mostly as humour but I do find it funny you quote Christ in your Signature who I would argue is the ultimate socialist!

I can only speak for myself. I’ll let other people have that debate as I’m not as au fait as some on here seem to be with US Politics. End of the day all any of us can do is take responsibility for our own actions.

Lol fair point. A bit like the NHS clapping there does seem to be the notion that anyone not following the status quo is shamed. Can’t speak for anyone else but if people want to take the knee let them but don’t think if it should be “prescribed” if that makes sense.

Yeah...apparently every single footballer and coach etc is on board which really says its all a bit window dressing. Not to mention I've always found politics in sports to be a tad irritating though it sometimes seems unavoidable.
Anyhoo....y'all knelt a bunch, point made, can we move on next season please? Those of you that want to go out and join a demo / protest / donate time or money or prattle on social media....feel free.
Does anyone else get to take a knee when they walk into the workplace? Do it on yer own time please!

If they are still taking the knee next time I go to Fratton Park it may be the last time I go until they stop.

It wouldn't have gone on this long with fans in the stadiums , if it ever even started at all.

I'm considering removing my knees in protest

Seriously? It only lasts for 8 seconds? What is your problem with it?
