Is the latest rumour. More likely a loan rather than permanent move.

A loan would make sense as he needs game time to prove he is over his injury and gives the club an opportunity to assess if he can regain the form that justified his signing as with Lane playing as he is he would not get much game time here
Maybe a similar approach would be beneficial to Whyte both from his point of view and the club's in particular with Lang apparently arriving today
