Re: Morrell
Apparently we will know when JM does his interview with The News tomorrow also update on Mac’s injury and whether we are going to challenge his red card

Re: Morrell
It seems the quieter the club are, the worse the injury is. I suspect he will be out till the end of the season, and beyond. He said his knee popped which rarely ends wellBerkshire Blue wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 3:55 pm Any news on the injury yet? it seems to have gone very quiet.

Agree, I am fearing the worst on both Morrell & McCintyreSelsey Bill wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2024 6:16 pmIt seems the quieter the club are, the worse the injury is. Re: Morrell
the News are now confirming that Morrell, McIntyre and Devlin are all out for the rest of the season
McIntyre has broken his ankle, Morrell has knee ligament damage but not an ACL etc and Devlin's injury to his shoulder is assessed as being 3months out.
I suppose the good news is all should be fit for pre-season.

Re: Morrell
Talk about bad luck, all 3 out for the season - I’m gutted for us and them !
Develin’s news is a shock as he had proven to be a decent back up option for JR at RB whilst Swanson recovers.
I fear the worst now as we have 15 games to get through and effectively have little in the way of cover in those key positions.
Hoping those 15 games are kinder to us than the last 15.

Re: Morrell
Mousinho in his pre-Carlisle press conference has confirmed that Swanson is now out on the grass and will return to full training within 7-10 days - so he is close to coming back into selection
Ben Stephenson is a week or so behind Swanson - so expected back at the end of the month
Kas Yengi is back, fully fit and available for selection right away.
Anjorin will be coming back mid March by the sounds of things too to add to the options too
So good news on those fronts - of course losing these three is really bad news and bad luck but at least Pompey managed to get in MPH and Moxon for the midfield - so those two off-set perhaps losing Devlin and Morrell with Stevenson not too far away too and Anjorin a month away now too. Oglivie being back and Swanson being close adds some good news to losing McIntyre. Yengi being back and ready to go adds depth back into the squad for Bishop.

Re: Morrell
Mousinho made the point in his presser that Robertson was the only injury in training. Poole, Morrell, Devlin and McIntyre are all injuries during games - two from contact (Devlin and McIntyre) and two knee injuries from players with previous long fitness records (Poole, Morrell).phat_chris wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 3:16 pm 5 season ending injuries is a bit much. Wrap the rest of them up in cotton wool please!
Not much Pompey could have done about those injuries other than wrapping them in cotton wool and not letting them play football.

Agree, there isn't much the club could have done. Still is hard to take seeing all these injuries. The rest of the players need to step up and fill those roles and hopefully stay fit while doing so.Jack_Tinn wrote: ↑Wed Feb 07, 2024 3:23 pmMousinho made the point in his presser that Robertson was the only injury in training. Re: Morrell
Blimey. But like others have said it's a chance for others to step up. Bit of a 'mare for JM. Never boring at Pompey!
Super Matt Macey in goal...

Re: Morrell
Awful luck, but watch the island mentality kick in, being led by our local lad and skipper Marlon
