Burton Albion
Stating the obvious tonight’s match is must win, I expect BA to bring a low block and hit us on the break.
I watched them cause Derby a few problems on Sky in Jan I think. Hugill is a threat.
I expect same formation with Lang & Sparkes being rested, MPH reverts to his best position, (Doors covers at LB?)
Tough 2-0 win

Re: Burton Albion
Is a low block just a new way of saying they will park a fleet of buses in their half
I 'd agree that Moushino will not change a successful formation and if necessary play Swanson at lb.
I would not be surprised however to possibly see Yengi start with Bishop rested/protected for Saturday

Sparkes is available said JM yesterday. I would expect him to play going on that.Mickemo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 7:57 am Stating the obvious tonight’s match is must win, I expect BA to bring a low block and hit us on the break.

Re: Burton Albion
Yep.
I hope Yengi starts. I wouldn't risk Lang so I guess MPH will start further forward with Moxon back with Pack. I think Saydee will get some decent time as he's up for it at the moment.
I hope for 3-1 but I think it'll be tighter.

Re: Burton Albion
Stating the obvious here too. We have nine games left and are six points clear. 5 wins plus a draw in one of the other games should do it. So, we could lose or draw tonight and still go up automatically quite readily.Mickemo wrote: ↑Tue Mar 12, 2024 7:57 am Stating the obvious tonight’s match is must win, I expect BA to bring a low block and hit us on the break.

I would say that we (the team and the supporters), need to approach this game in a positive, energetic and confident manner and be wary of getting caught out too often on counter attacks.
That said a win tonight is another win ticked off, and makes the games against the other potential champions ahead less pressurised. Too much pressure won't help the players play without fear.

Re: Burton Albion
In my last 10 game prediction, I predicted the following...
Blackpool - Draw.
Burton - Win.
Peterborough - loss.
Barnsley - win.
Wycombe - win.
Derby - win.
Shrewsbury - win.
Bolton - draw.
Wigan - win.
Lincoln - draw.
I'm perhaps predicting a few wins that will be draws there, but I do believe tonight is a very big game in the light of Saturday and what might be for the coming Saturday.

Re: Burton Albion
I'm pretty sure Sparkes will start, but that he won't risk Lang. Play Pack and Moxon together and put MPH in the No. 10 role. I'm also hoping to see Lee Evans get some minutes this evening.

Norris, Rafferty, Shaughnessy, Raggett, Kamara, Moxon, Pack (c), Lane, Saydee, Peart-Harris, Yengi
Subs: Macey, Swanson, Towler, Evans, Whyte, Martin, Bishop
Really looking forwarsd to the match now. No Sparkes - either an injury's come up or Mous has a good poker face

Re: Burton Albion
71% possession we have carved them open several times Yengi had the "miss of the season" but had the confidence after being wacked for the penalty to stand up take the penalty and just dink it in
