Free Pompey books, etc.
Hello Everyone,
I no longer post here, but this is a special offer. I have a number of Pompey books as follow (+ 1 DVD) of which I have duplicate copies. I am willing to give these away to a deserving home.
Pompey People. Portsmouth FC Who’s Who 1899-2000 by Mick Cooper
Pompey. The Island City with a Football Club for a Heart by Neil Allen
Pompey Champions of England by Mick Comben et al.
The Park. A comprehensive insight into Fratton Park… by John Payne & Roy Charles
Pompey by Plum. Cartoons by Alexander Plum
Newspaper Headlines Portsmouth. A History from 1920
The Fall & Rise of Pompey. Our Club (DVD) by Barnaby Fox & Ian Darke
I am sure that as stalwart Pompey fans you all have these, but they would make a good beginning for a young Pompey fan looking to start reading about the club.
I would prefer to give them away as one lot rather than faffing about. So if you are interested, please reply to this post. All being well, I will be at all Pompey games (home and away) for the rest of the season, or they can be collected from either Chichester or Central Bedfordshire as agreed.

Hey PP. A very fine gesture. I’d love to take them off your hands. I’ve been following Pompey since the late 90s but appreciate my historic knowledge is lacking so these really interest me. Alas I’m not due down again this season unless a miracle happens and I’m able to get tickets for one of the remaining home games. I’d happily send you the money for shipping (and a few beers) but if anyone else on the forum wants them and can grab it in person feel free to give to them as imagine it would be less of a faff.
Edit. Missed the part about Bedfordshire. Northampton isn’t a million miles away. Would be glad to take them off your hands if they are still available.

Actually I’m driving past Bedford in Friday morning if you’re around and the offer still stands.
Will compensate with some beers if you let me know what you like.
