New Sky contract
Today greater detail has emerged about the impact of the new Sky EFL. broadcast plans
Article 43 remains so no live games between 1500 and 1715
All live games will be broadcast at 1230 on the Saturday so fortunately no Friday Sunday Monday games just a lot of early starts for away fans travelling
All first day and last day games streamed live presumably at 1230 if on a Saturday
All bank holiday games streamed live not subject to article 43
All championship teams will feature 24 times a season so that's about half of our games at 1230 allowing for bank holidays
All league cup and midweek games streamed live
Streamed games replacing ifollow available only on sky+ or now tv day pass
So not as bad as it could have been but still in my view favouring armchair football as opposed to fans of a particular club the early kick off times will have a disproportionate affect on clubs such as ourselves Plymouth and the 2 northeast clubs with regard to travelling

Re: New Sky contract
All teams featuring 24 times a season is a lot more than I expected. Hopefully we will know when these games are in plenty of notice!

Re: New Sky contract
Initially Sky will pick all the games up until FA Cup third round in July
Only after will it then go to 8 weeks until March/ April then it’s down to 4 week’s notice

Re: New Sky contract
I just read the sky information again I am wrong about it only being Saturday 1230 as their details are ambiguous what it actually means is 3 Championship games at 1230 every Saturday however if you look deeper into the detail they will select a total of 5 Championship games a weekend for live screening so unfortunately 2 games each weekend will be outside the 1230/1500 Saturday Windows but conveniently they are not giving any details when at this moment in time
Guess we will have to wait until July to get a true reflection of the disruption we can expect

Re: New Sky contract
I have cancelled my Skysports Football contract. If I resubscribe at say £25 permonth it is going to be cheaper than using my VPN at 11 Euros per match. However some months it will be a double whammy, think it requires some more thought!
