Given that Manchester is xtimes the size of Pompey - we muster 250,000 was it, for our cup win, and Mancky can only do 100,000. Pah!

It was a great day and a massive crowd but this figure of 250,000 is a bit misleading IMHO. The media said that 250,000 lined the route but the majority then followed the bus to the common so god knows how many were counted several times (I know it was an estimate) I'd say it was more like 90,000 tops.
