Giggs
Signs a new one year contract. He'll be 40 in November.
Can't deny that he doesn't warrant it either. Still a threat on that wing.
Surprised to read that he only has 64 caps for Wales though. You'd figure he should have at least double that. But I guess that's what comes of Fergiepower and international friendlies.

That's what comes from never reaching the final stages of international competitions.Weybridge wrote:Surprised to read that he only has 64 caps for Wales though. You'd figure he should have at least double that. But I guess that's what comes of Fergiepower and international friendlies.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Re: Giggs
He refused to play friendlies for a long time I think was the reason he didn't have more caps as he thought it wasn't worth harming his club career. Or something like that.
Re: Giggs
I'm not sure he was ever eligible. He played for England schools because the school was in England. He's still Welsh at birth.Earl Grey wrote:He should've carried on playing for England, the way he started out as a schoolboy England player.

You're right NP. Just looked at wiki which is of course always right....well nearly always. In this case I reckon it is right so I stand corrected.Weybridge wrote:I'm not sure he was ever eligible.
