It's official - Guy Whittingham has been appointed Manager

Don't for one moment think that decisions like this are being made at the rush because the sale has gone through. The PST bid has been led by some very clever people, one of whom I know quite well, and the choice of manager has been at the forefront of their minds ever since they realistically expected to take over the club. The timing of the announcement is not so much linked to the recent finalisation of the purchase of the club, but the need to have a firm appointment for next season in plenty of time for pre-pre-season work to be undertaken.

I haven't discussed this with anyone from the PST, but I feel certain that the Corporal has been appointed because he is the best person available. I'd be really surprised if they don't know who else might be available (and willing).
