Cortese considering his position
Oh dear, Mussol...Cortese might be about to bail. Not happy with changes to the way the Liebherr trust want to run the club. What changes might they be, well we can only guess but I suspect it will be draw the purse strings in & sell up.
No Champions League then.

Is that what we're calling Linford these days???
No... but I can certainly think of something.
I'm sure the Stains can already feel the cold breath of Lowe over St Mary's...

Re: Cortese considering his position
Took you ladies long enough to get this.
Love how the OP puts 2 and 2 together and gets 5, typical Pompey maths. However, IF they do decide to sell then they will generate a very nice profit, probably 3 or 4 times what Marcus paid out in 2009. Not a bad investment eh!
Of course 'new owners' would be very hard to find as we don't have a 30k+ stadium, a state of the art training facility, the best academy in English football and Premier League football.
Oh well it was nice whilst it lasted.........

Rupert's coming - and you're understandably worried.
Enjoy your new owners - we certainly are getting along fine with ours.

I would be more worried for the ducks if Rupey was on the scene. Well there are a couple of thousand of you so you are bound to know someone!Milkins wrote:Lindford Saint wrote:Took you ladies long enough to get this.

Just trying to point out, based on bitter experience, that selling to new owners may not take your club where you might like.Lindford Saint wrote:I would be more worried for the ducks if Rupey was on the scene. Re: Cortese considering his position
Are you expecting £150m for selling the club?Lindford Saint wrote:However, IF they do decide to sell then they will generate a very nice profit, probably 3 or 4 times what Marcus paid out in 2009. Not a bad investment eh!
They have shareholder funds of ~£50m (including the debt to equity swap - that isn't a gift, they'll want it back).
So that times 3 (not even the 4 you speak of), £150m+
And they'll have to clear current liabilities, that's another £30m.
Bargain.
Or did you ignore all the other money because it didn't suit your argument?

More to do with the fact that (If they are late picking up an old report) they don't constantly trawl other teams websites/forums to glean a snippet of info with which they can then try to use to take the p1ss with.
