Re: Grammar quiz
I got 7. A promising pedant! Sums me up quite well, I think. I thought I'd get 10 before I started as I fancy myself as a bit of a whizz when it comes to grammar, but it was quite difficult. I wonder if anyone on here will get 100%.

Re: Grammar quiz
A promising pedant myself with 6. Interesting quiz if a little arcane.

I got those two wrong as well - and the might and may one.
Re: Grammar quiz
Me too. The Hilary question was the only difficult one - I had to read it twice.Chopper Dave wrote:I done that.Ziggy Stardust wrote: I wonder if anyone on here will get 100%.

Re: Grammar quiz
I got 7. I think the hilary one was a bit cheeky; I got it wrong, not on the grammer, but on not reading the question fully!
May and might got me too - and I'm now less sure than I used to be on which to use in what situation.
I was reading about the Oxford comma yesterday. I would NEVER have put a comma before "and" before reading about it, but will now and not feel bad about myself. One less reason for self-flagellation
