Sandwiched between York and Chipping Norton with London as the worst! Very odd. Southampton is much worse than any of those.

But we are 4th in the Premier League - just in case none of you realised.....

Whatisname has done a fine job thus far.
Nigel Who?
That managerial move looks like being the genius managerial move in a while.
Meanwhile, in Sunderland....

You can't roll on the floor laughing after that comment. It's just not funny enough. It's like someone in school in the bottom half of the D stream laughing at someone near the top of the A stream. It doesn't work.

What a bizarre list. York and Chipping Norton are both beautiful areas, full of history and surrounded by equally beautiful countryside. I was based in York for a good few years with the army and loved every minute.

And London has been voted 'The Best City in the World' in a few recent polls:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/desti ... visor.html

http://news.yahoo.com/london-steals-tit ... 14726.html

(Dr Johnson has something to say to the people who voted for London in that poll)

Southampton is indeed a little bit dull but I'd still put the likes of Luton, Basingstoke and Margate above them.

You might well stick up for London as you live in a lovely part of the city and you enjoy a middle-class lifestyle. Plonk yourself in a council house in Neasden with no qualifications and no future and you might change your tune. I'm not having a go at you personally, HH, just pointing out how silly the 'Crap Towns' concept is. Well it is to me anyway. Oh, and apologies to any of you who live in Neasden. And sympathy.
