Rooney's goal...
...today was, of course, outstanding.
It shall also be noted it was compared to Beckham (who is in the stands) and not to Taylor (who is on the field)...and who did it at least twice.
Plus, it goes without saying that it will get 6 times the exposure and highlight factor that Mr. Taylor did.
lol....its half time and I've already seen it 9 times.

Well the MOTD pundits are all over rooneys goal amd how brilliant he/it is . But when Taylor did it they wouldn't give him goal of the season because he was too far out to of meant it .The Cincinnati Kid wrote:...and double bwahahaha

Quite right AND...was it not Sir Wayne that won goal of the season that year?Norman Piper wrote:Well the MOTD pundits are all over rooneys goal amd how brilliant he/it is . It just greives me that lazy football pundits don't know their stuff and its especially grevious when the bloke thats done it twice already is actually on the field during the game in question.
btw lazy football pundits.....neither of Taylors efforts bounced in....nope....frozen rope straight in mate.

Another few inches and it would have bounced over the top....

Re: Rooney's goal...
They couldn't give Taylor goal of the season because his goal wasn't given goal of the month at the time. Goal of that month went to a humdrum 20 yard Scholes effort because.....well, we all know why....because he plays for Manure.Norman Piper wrote:Well the MOTD pundits are all over rooneys goal amd how brilliant he/it is . And Patrick Berger's effort up at Charlton wasn't exactly a close range effort either, was it?

Re: Rooney's goal...
That's it, I couldn't remember the exact ins and outs of it . Basically Taylor played for Pompey so he didn't mean to do it . When Rooney or Beckham does it it's footballing genius .From the Ashes wrote:They couldn't give Taylor goal of the season because his goal wasn't given goal of the month at the time. Re: Rooney's goal...
It was the same season as the great escape I believe but was at the beginning of the season when Perrin was still in charge. The goal you're thinking of is probably the mendes double against Man City.itsaintfunny wrote:The Cincinnati Kid wrote:...and double bwahahaha

Re: Rooney's goal...
well, the bbc emerge with a modicum of cred today. They have a story on the goal and 6 similar goals. Taylors one at home to Eveton? gets mentioned.
They missed the other one....away to Blunderland I think?
