Easy...shouldn't lose more than a wicket topping that....given the generosity of the fielding side we face in their bowling and catching.

Peter Moores juggernaut meets ice road truckers, we all know it only takes a bit of ice and snow to bring England to a halt !
One of the worse World Cup campaigns I can remember - moan over, love the quality of the top teams.

Doesn't help that England just spoon-feed opposition batsmen or that they lose their heads after a dropped catch (hey Broadie). There are elements of a good side there (Ali, Root, Buttler) but the bowling is seriously weak and one-dimensional. If you look at New Zealand, they have strived to develop more pace as the game has become more extreme. The likes of Anderson, Broad and Finn have dropped their pace through age, injuries and technical problems respectively.

I think we can safely say the four seamer approach is dead in the water. At home its great, where we can guarantee plenty of movement - but as you say, overseas its too one dimensional.

Broad doesn't deserve his place and hasn't for a little while now, but for some reason he's the ECB golden boy and seems protected. Ballance and Broad need to go in place of Hales and Bopara. I know Bopara isn't everyone's favourite but he doesn't give runs away too easily and doesn't get bogged down with the bat.

And longer term, I'd play Kieswetter (once he's recovered) as wicket keeper and play Buttler as a specialist batsman. Buttler is not good enough behind the stumps, too many missed stumpings and awkward takes.

Is there any news on Kieswetter ? Last I read he was struggling and may not come back .
