Good point, Mr The Kid.

I imagine extradition from the Canucks would be a doddle.
I'm not sure he ever apologised for saying women should play in tighter shorts. I guarantee they've not forgotten that. He'll be begging to get out of Canada.

Not quite a smoking gun - but not exactly subtle either!

It would be, but the US has an extradition treaty with the Swiss too, so I suspect that they don't have enough on him at the moment, otherwise they'd have lifted him with the 5 others. I wouldn't have thought they'd have enough time to get sufficient additional from those arrested to grab him in a month's time. The only possibility is Jack "They've Hung Me Out To Dry" Warner.

He's gonna go one of two ways - he either wants revenge sufficiently to stitch Blatter up good and proper, or he's already made a call to Blatter along the lines of "How much is it worth for me to have an unexpected bout of amnesia?"

Wouldn't it be great if due to "bad weather" or some such issue...his flight was diverted to Boston.

Why bother trying to be subtle?

On Monday, Mr Valcke announced that he would not be attending the opening of the Women's World Cup in Canada on 6 June as planned - a move that correspondents called "highly unusual".

Looks as if the deputy has seen the light.

And now Blatter`s seen the light, resigned ! That`s so he doesn`t have to go to Canada.

You don't get immunity by quitting, sunshine. They're still coming to get you.

But, in the mean time, off you jolly well ******.

Yeah...see ya!....He's quit I reckon because he's unable to travel to many places without being extradited and being fifa boss means you gotta travel!
Look for a quick bolt to a country with no extradition treaty or one that's friendly to him.

I'm terrified he's doing a farage... Until his name is not down on the candidates for next election I won't relax...

I have to give him credit for one thing : He's just announced the biggest ever 'ITS MY BALL AND I'M GOING HOME'.

Best news for football as a whole for a very long time :thumb - let's hope the whole organisation is rebuilt on a true transparent basis.

Well exactly.

It's no good just getting another head of FIFA in if he's just going to use the set up they have now.

Full and open procedures giving crystal clear transparency is a must - every decision has to be justifiable and demonstrably the best decision, every penny has to be accountable and traceable.

Getting rid of Blatter does not guarantee any of this!
Stop looking for solutions to symptoms and start identifying the disease.

Can't the FA just start their own international division?
