I shall be happy if we can compete for the playoffs so I will go for 7th, but probably like everyone else I hope that we might finish a little higher playing an attractive passing game.

Almost more importantly I hope that we can use this season to achieve managerial and playing squad stability and to further strengthen our financial position.

I'd like to see Tubbs at the front of the second half's midfield on Friday.

My lads and I were saying the very same on the way home after the game on Saturday. The trio of Roberts, Bennett and Chaplin created a hatful of chances most of which fell to Theo Robinson who didn't look like he could hit a cow's ar$e with banjo, let alone get one on target.

Need I remind you that each and every one of you were appalling last season. I've misplaced the prediction list though I recall only my good self and maybe USPF and 1 other poster coming close and I don't think anyone covered themselves in glory. So put the rosy specs away and give it a better shot this time!

LOL, seems you have rose-tinted memories then Kid as you predicted 8th and USPF hedged his bets at 8th to 10th. I think you'll find my prediction of 20th was actually closest to our final 16th placing

As for this season, i'll go for 9th (in the hope we again exceed my expectations).

I thought the unfettered optimism before the start of the last 2 seasons was unfounded but now I must admit to being positive about 15/16. With PC in charge this year will be a much better one. How much better is hard to say but I'll go for a play-off place so lets say 5th.

Looking forward to a new season Bill. Have been very busy with studies and the like over the last 3 years and I am still trying to not feel guilty about now NOT studying. I gained a clinical pharmaceutical diploma from Bradford. I may drop in here a bit more often now. Hope the beer is still warm and the sausages rolling.

Apologies for the late contribution to this thread, but better late than never.

Last year from memory, I went for mid-table. This year, I will be very disappointed if we don't at least make the play-offs. I am looking for a top three.
