What we don't know of course is how many other clubs his agent hawked him around who also said no. Were we the first club who looked at him and Barnsley the second? I doubt it

Player chooses Championship club over League One club. Shocker! Seems to me some people just want to stir up ill feeling over trivial things.

Whoa there Sawbo! Seems to me the only person trying to stir things up is you!!
IF you read things correctly you will see that was never my intention. As it transpires, the boy was already playing/training with Barnsley U23's and had been for some time so it was almost inevitable he would be offered a position but we were not aware of this at the time, and that was the reason I raised the subject.
