Mt favourite sandwich ever was an egg mayonaaise and cress roll from Snookies in Palmerston Road, i think they used vinegar in their mayonnaise, delicious.
That said this is from memory about 35 years ago!
Other than that you can't beat a crisp sandwich or a salad cream sandwich!

For me, either Fishfinger with Ketchup/Tomato Sauce, or crispy fried egg with Brown Sauce (HP or Daddies). Both have to be in cheap white bread though; none of your poncey multi grain rubbish.

That's the thing with you settlers in the New World on the edge of civilisation as we know it, if someone does something that you don't like you tend to pull out your gun and shoot them! The Cincinnati Kid wrote:The Reuben, which is corned beef, swiss cheese and sauerkraut on rye bread
tomato ketchup btw, is an appalling insult to food and if you were at Kid mansion and were to enquire about ketchup for your steak i'd feel fully justified shooting you.

That's a good shout Rubi, i do line a fish finger sarnie, preferably on brown bread, ketchup as you state but with the addition of cracked black pepper and a bit of rocket, very nice !RubiconCSL wrote:For me, either Fishfinger with Ketchup/Tomato Sauce, or crispy fried egg with Brown Sauce (HP or Daddies). Cheese with freshly made salad, on either white or brown bread, for a crisp refreshing sandwich.

Numerous dependent on mood at the time to include,
Smoked salmon and cream cheese.
Strong cheddar with either tomato or onion and salad cream.
Bacon and sausage with the obligatory brown sauce.
Banana.
Still miss the old beef dripping sarnie.
Breakfast now occasionally toast with a ketchup dip.
