But he didn't do it for himself (or so he said) he did it so Pompey could get a £5m compensation fee. It did not have anything to do with him poaching players for next to nothing either (or so he said)

Football 'manager' and spiv Harry Redknapp going into the jungle. You can guarantee he's the highest paid, will do nothing and will be first out.

I'd trust his dog to run the country's finances ahead of May, Hammond, Corbyn, McDonnell or Carney.

Imagine being Jamie, every morning having to steel oneself to to look in the mirror in case *IT* has finally happened overnight.

Have they got a Range Rover door for him to hang out of ? They did that on a TV show once when it was transfer deadline day and he wasn't a manager at the time.

But when he leaves his fee will be higher than when he went in!

“Any unfulfilled dreams I have left in football can be achieved here. I turned down two exceptional offers in the last twelve months and that was a clear indication of where my heart and mind was.”
"It wouldn’t make an ounce of difference who came in for me now. This is where I belong and this is where I want to finish.”
“It would have been easy to walk away in the past year and I don’t think anyone would have had any real complaints. But, as tempting as the offers were, I couldn’t have lived with myself. There would have been a massive sense of betrayal.”

Five months later he left for Tottenham, so no wonder he is disliked by so many Pompey fans.
Including me! At least Paul Cook said we'd be his second to last club

Wow there are some miserable gits on here. Harry gave us the best 7 years of football at Fratton Park in many many years. At least there's one other poster on this forum who lives in the real world, and recognises that Harry didn't spend any money, it was the Chairman & Board who spent it. Harry said who he wanted, the Board could/should have said no for some of them. Did we complain at the time - no of course we didn't.

No doubt many of you miserable gits are the same ones who complained about Paul Cook when he got us promoted, and are complaining now about KJ. Boy I bet you are fun to live with and work with zzzzzzz

I don't care that he left twice, he gave us more than we had had the previous 50 years. Good on ya Harry.

It's not so much that he left, it was the lies that he told that upsets most people.
