Sounds like KJ is thinking of playing Hawkins there on a more regular basis. Instead of another out of position player, why not give the youngster Matt Casey a go?

Or maybe even burgess and Raggett? Maybe Jackett prefers out of position so that can be blamed as to why we didn’t win?

We had the whole summer to replace Clarke and here we are 6 games in with makeshift centre halves and getting Naylor & Hawkins to play there, ridiculous

Downing and Burgess for me.

I feel certain that once James Bolton is fully up to speed, then Burgess will be moved back to CB.

I wouldn't let Raggett anywhere near the 1st team. Absolutely woeful.

Agreed Ragget is poor so far, even giving away the goal to Norwich U21s in the Leasing.com cup. Downing is Clarke's replacement but sadly is nowhere near his quality. Burgess is far and away our best centre back at present and that does not bode well for this season.
