14-day Quarantine to be relaxed before it has even started
The government is looking at ways to relax the 14-day quarantine rule for people entering the UK over the coming months.

Again the choice is economy or health.

Another possibility is they've realised there's no way they can do it effectively. Not sure which is worse.

Sam, you are such a cynic. Are you trying to suggest that our Government may have made the odd mistake or two?

We can't wait until the virus goes away, because it isn't going to go away. At some point, the economy must take priority, because otherwise, the country will go bankrupt. We are at, or very nearly at, that point now.GreenBlue wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 11:37 am The government is looking at ways to relax the 14-day quarantine rule for people entering the UK over the coming months.

Should we then just quarantine people from countries that are worse affected than us?. Hmm! That'd just be the USA.Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:01 pmWe can't wait until the virus goes away, because it isn't going to go away. I think it is truly bizarre that if we were planning to introduce quarantining, we left it so late.

The 5 point terror alert system for easing the lockdown is also in disarray.Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:01 pm We can't wait until the virus goes away, because it isn't going to go away. The fear is that this vital new policy development, designed to clearly communicate risk levels across the nations of the UK to workers, businesses, parents and pensioners has more than just teething problems.
The government is now downplaying the importance of the system to lifting lockdown. The concern is that the system, explained in some detail by the PM in an address to the nation, now risks being dead on arrival.

I've noticed a change in language from the government . On twitter in recent weeks the ministers now hashtag coronavirus rather than Covid 19 . So when Matt Hancock talks about testing are we now testing for a common cold ?league one blues wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 3:38 pmThe 5 point terror alert system for easing the lockdown is also in disarray.Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 1:01 pm We can't wait until the virus goes away, because it isn't going to go away.
