I just hope both Fury and AJ win their next matches.
Not a fan of boxing? Or just the endless delays in fights like this getting sorted?
Fair enough.Locky_McLockface wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 1:18 pmNot a fan. Don't understand the attraction of two people trying to cause each other brain damage. Chris Eubank Senior had it about right, I reckon.
Surely everybody has the right to comment. An expression of opposition to something is a perfectly valid comment.Randy McNob wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 2:31 pm I never understand people who contribute to subjects they are not interested in
Thats kind of how I see it. I'm not as much a fan of the sport now, but there is something I like about the simplicity of boxing. Two combatants, peak of physical condition (mostly), trying to defeat each other with strength, speed and guile. No technology, or performance enhancing equipment on the day, just 1 v 1 in a ring, a set of rules and a pair of gloves each.New Forester wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 3:07 pm Boxing. The true sport. Man to man combat. I have seen many of the great sportspersons in action in my 75 years of watching. None have surpassed the performances of Ali at his peak. Sublime skill in action. The sports personality of the 20th century.
The present crop are not in the same class. If it comes off, AJ and Fury will be interesting. My money will be on Fury.
And it's nice to meet you too.Randy McNob wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 2:31 pm I never understand people who contribute to subjects they are not interested in
Yeah, love a good dust up but I do wish the sport was properly organized and unified.... like somewhere in between what it is today and the OlympicsWeybridge wrote: ↑Fri Jun 12, 2020 7:38 amThats kind of how I see it.
