Boxing. The true sport. Man to man combat. I have seen many of the great sportspersons in action in my 75 years of watching. None have surpassed the performances of Ali at his peak. Sublime skill in action. The sports personality of the 20th century.
The present crop are not in the same class. If it comes off, AJ and Fury will be interesting. My money will be on Fury.

Thats kind of how I see it. I'm not as much a fan of the sport now, but there is something I like about the simplicity of boxing. Two combatants, peak of physical condition (mostly), trying to defeat each other with strength, speed and guile. Daniel Dubois. Now 22. Just watched a rerun of the ending of his first ten fights. A lot of dross but I suspect he has some way to go. Watch out, AJ and Fury. Always someone on the horizon.
