Strange sacking there. Cowley was doing OK at Huddersfield, having ensured that they won't be relegated after the mess that he took over in September. I wonder if it is another case of a club getting ideas above its station and not be satisfied with Championship football. I know they were in the PL recently, but that is not their normal position any more than it is ours.rumourmonger wrote: ↑Sun Jul 19, 2020 5:15 pm Breaking news. Danny Cowley just been sacked from Huddersfield . Now there's a bright young manager who not so long ago was being raved about .
Yes, I saw that. Unusual in that he also survived the previous manager cull there so must be well thought of as a coach at least.Pompey Penguin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 7:43 am Hayden Mullins - Premier League Manager (at least temporarily). Who would have thought? Pleased to see him doing well.

Rumours of a fight involving Pearson in the dressing room @ ht when losing 3-0 in their last game. Being denied but Pearson does have a reputation for having a hair trigger temper.Locky_McLockface wrote:Jeeze, and we thought Milan was trigger-happy.....Pompey Penguin wrote: ↑Mon Jul 20, 2020 7:43 am Hayden Mullins - Premier League Manager (at least temporarily). Interesting idea. I’d have no issues with a female manager. It would be interesting to see how much female vs male managers make?Pompey Penguin wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 9:38 am Looks like the best manager Portsmouth has ever produced is going to miss out on the England job. Would you take a chance? Would she come back to Pompey?

Me neither, if she was the best person for the job, gender would not be am issue. there would be those who shoot this idea down as a non-starter saying that a woman couldn't manage a team of high testosterone males and what about the changing rooms etc... but women commanders in the Army have proved that they can do a bl**dy good job in what have traditionally be regarded as "male only" realms.Sam_Brown wrote: ↑Thu Aug 13, 2020 11:12 amInteresting idea. That said, if now appears highly unlikely that we will be replacing KJ within the next 10 months
Blimey Mr DN, if yours looks anything like that, I'd go to the doctors if I were you.Mr D Nuts wrote:"Gender wouldn't be an issue". "But what about the changing rooms? So gender would be an issue. I'm sure she's seen it all before anyway .
